Visualisation of microarray results
Occasionally every lab gets a noisy profile, either during the initial set up period or as a result of a poor quality sample.
In order to rapidly isolate the cause and remedy the situation BlueFuse provides a range of visualisation facilities and charting tools, for example the ability to visualise raw results against the scanned microarray images from which they were extracted.
In the example below, the datapoints that contribute to the noisy profile have been selected, highlighted in yellow, and found to correlate to a patch of hybridized spots in the middle of the array image. It is clear that there is a problem with hybridization in this area, for example there was insufficient hybridization solution. Such functionality enables easy trouble shooting and smooth start up for laboratories new to microarray technologies.

All results are date stamped and stored in a single database so temporal effects, perhaps causing a reduction in signal over time, are easily identiication by combining charts of key quality control parameters with Bluefuse powerful query facilities.
